Some have never felt the sensation of intense longing and melancholic obsession. Mammal is a cypress-cherry tribute to limerence that rests on the memory of cotton sheets – a canvas to the acute longing of intense, deeply emotional longing and sometimes unrequited love.
It opens the way desire always does – a little reckless – dry champagne against the flesh of cherry… when a person becomes the only thing the mind will hold. Cinnamon warms beneath it, the quickened pulse, the heat that rises unbidden whenever they are near.
As the room empties, Frankincense drifts up like something sacred and already mourned, curling through the hush left behind. This is the heart of Mammal. What lingers is not the person but the trace of them: memory smoked into white cotton, still warm, still impossibly present with cypress pine and juniper holding the ache in place.
