Description
Now, at the end of the Mystic Trilogy collection, at the end of this journey, in L’Oblio, Meo’s poetics push us to forget everything, asking this question: “What if the good of man was to forget, rather than remember?”. This is where the trip to Cambodia starts, along the banks of the Mekong, in search of forgetfulness that makes us tranquil, even for a period of time. It is an almost endless journey on the Mekong, but always delicate and reassuring. In Meo’s imagination, L’olbío tells a sort of olfactive philosophical evolution of light, an invitation to travel, an ever closer bond with the East.

The search for stillness is born in a luminous labyrinth, where the top notes of helichrysum, incense, and sweet orange welcome us and make us lose ourselves. The helichrysum, with its bright and yellow flower has also been called ‘immortelle’ since ancient times, precisely because of its long, persistent fragrance. The heart of the perfume has warm touches of Italian Iris butter and green hints of mate grass, a plant which is very popular in South American culture, but that Meo uses to describe the plants on the banks of the Mekong in an olfactory manner. The special processing of the mate grass gives a smoky base note that resembles the smoky scents of tobacco, a scent that is not actually present. At the base are the welcoming scents of Indian sandalwood, the hints of the dust, moss and sacred woods.
