Description
Boy Smells Slow Burn is a rich and beautifully complex wood scent, the best-selling collab between artist and ally Kacey Musgraves and Boy Smells. Voted 2020 Consumer Choice Candle of The Year by The Fragrance Foundation and winner of GQ’s 2020 Grooming Awards for Home Scents.
“Glowing and dark — incense, black pepper, and guaiac wood take center stage with whiffs of embers in the distance. A little dank, a little crisp: accords of smoked papyrus and amber add an earthy expensiveness. Commanding, but not in a hurry, like the last sips of a Negroni at the bar down the street, expressed through hints of elemi and tonka bean. The ‘scentiment’ of SLOW BURN is about pausing along the way to relax and enjoy exactly where you are right now. Burn in a hurry.”
— KACEY MUSGRAVES

These Candles Won’t Self-Care Themselves. Here is a quick guide to maximising your candle experience.
Step 01: Trim
Prior to each lighting, trim the wick to 1/4” for a clean and smoke free burn. Consider using the Boy Smells Wick Trimmer. Also, always protect the surface on which the candle sits.
Step 02: Burn
On your first light, allow the entire surface of wax to melt — Minimum of 3 hours. There will be some “wax wall hanging,” but that’s normal. After the first burn with wax melted to the edge of candle vessel, never let it burn for more than 4 hours. Discontinue use when there is only 1/4″ wax left in the vessel.
Step 03: Center
Ensure the wick is centered. After each burn, adjust the wick while the wax is still molten.
Step 04: Upcycle
When a 1/4” to 1/2″ of wax is left in your candle, it’s time to discontinue use and upcycle the glass. Always remove the remaining wax. Pro cleaning tip — put the candle in the freezer until the wax is frozen, then said wax should pop out easily.
